HDR monitors VS OLED TVs?

HDR monitors are very similar to OLED TVs and they also support Wide Color Gamut (WCG), but there is a significant difference between them.

Both displays can show perfect blacks by shutting off the backlight completely, which results in a great contrast ratio.

The major difference is that OLED TVs can show perfect blacks across the whole screen, while HDR monitors blackout only part of the screen to achieve the same effect.

When it comes to color space, OLED TVs have a wider color gamut than that of HDR monitors. This is why OLED TVs are able to produce HDR content with vivid colors.

Advantages and disadvantages of HDR.

HDR monitors have a lot of advantages, but there are also certain disadvantages that you should be aware of before making a purchase decision.
